We don't have the surrey, sorry Oklahoma fans, but I do have a bit of fringe. Fringing on man-shoes is an old European beautifying trick. It has a rather nostalgic sentiment to it; kind of like if I was to re-read a 'Grug' book or eat a Bubble O' Bill, you know it still exists you just keep on forgetting about it because you'd rather eat a Magnum or read 'How to Hepburn' (by Karen Karbo).
However, for those Oklahoma fans listen to the delightful Blossom Dearie's rendition of the song Surrey with the Fringe on Top with her cute melodius voice.
