Oh the glitz! Oh the glamour of Italian ''di lusso'' luxury items.  Get out your sunglasses you're going to be blinded by all that sparkle.  It says it all don't you think? 'I'm Italian, we created culture' and possibily  'fuck you economic crisis' and or 'Kitsch? This is class!' Love it, you know you want to.

Afro-Desia

When we said everyone was getting into (yet another tribal trend for summer, almost like every other year) Baldinini have run away with it. Have they (we) Afro-Desia? Did we all forget last years summer trends? It ain't my schtick usually and some may find the motif offensive. I see the charm of a nostalgic 50s summer holiday abroad. Makes me think of the many atomic patterns designed by Lucienne Day...And barkcloth.

The leather is superb, made with real love not the fake love you find in bottles for 50c.  I am not a thongs (flip-flop) gal at all but these, I find myself thinking...Maybe?

Like a cake, it's in layers, structured and strong. Its holds itself with airs, effortlessly. It can be bought anywhere unpretentiously and those who see it, understand it. Trauma!

It never really occured to me that the state of fashion footwear would come to this. Yet again spotted at Sydney Fashion week in April of this year, was the attempt to make correctional footwear a go-er.  Yes as a nation we are casual, easy going but I fear people have forgotten how to dress for the occasion.  Fashion week is like going to the Opera, maybe no one wears a sequined gown and a tiara anymore but if your most expensive suit has 3 stripes down the side...No Entry Fool!  I worry if we look to Teva or  Birkenstock as fashionable footwear inspiration.  Yes tis true, we need to look after ourselves maybe the extremes of 12 inch stilettos is a little ridicuballs but the this extreme of clumpy chum pies orthopaedic heaven can wait till you're 75 and not a day before.

Beanie Collection

The beanie collection, iridescent hardware, goggly eyes, Where's Wally stripes and purpleness. Really! Like wow already, geez man!
