Two shy young thoughtfully dressed ladies wait patiently in the cold. Arms crossed as to ease the shivers of a rather chilled February afternoon. Hair impeccably coiffeured and lips contoured. The outfits inspired from another age, another time, another manner. A rather English vintage look that probably is best described as Vivenne Westwood-ish with it's tailoring, mix of textures and pattern and a hint of fox hunting.

Piping like a marshmellow
As one gets a little older and a little more wise and old, one becomes all gooey inside like a delicious marshmellow that's just been roasted on the camp fire. All charred, burnt, on fire and a little bitter on the sides but oh so sugary, sweet and satisfied on the inside. Piping, it does it to me everytime. I melt when I see it poking out of the leather upper and when it's in contrast colour oh the turkish delight inside of me jumps for joy (especially if it's covered in chocolate like Fry's). It take's a pair of hands, love and time to it right!

Dapper Dan Style
Can't remember if I have posted this yet, but here is some true Milanese Dapper Dan style. This dude was pimping his look as he strut past the Duomo...Ahhh yes the days of men dressed elegantly ain't over yet. Maybe he wasn't as suave as Cary Grant or so manly like Randolph Scott but at least he had his turn of the century chimney sweep cap on. He can even clean the chimney at my house for turn of the century wages too....''but Pizza Head Girl, you don't have a chimney''...Dang!
Dapper Dan nicely smoothed hair...Perfection Cary and why Randolph, not a stray on your head either.

Retro-grade
Retrograde is orbiting Milan, the celestial systems of Uranus are lining up to create one atomic gas cloud... Oh Milan your pollution can be likened to that of a 'big bang'. No laser beams here to save or protect us or even one giant bottle of Glade....Pffft! The pungant vapours that enclose us reflects the milanese 'air'. Oh, you think you are so clever as you snigger at me, pointing at my rockabilly black and white pointy monkstrap shoes and leopard print chiffon blouse. Do you not understand? You are wearing flatulent 'Hogan-Bogan' sneakers and your paunch hangs there like Joan Rivers (I do love her) hangs on for dear life ...and possibly a joke! Where's my respirator?
Retro is atomically correct...It is class, wear hats match gloves and shoes match handbags. These days your lucky if your daughter wears a hankerchief and a bit of string as she walks off into the moonlight...and it's a school night! Fashion is meant to cover the body, protect, adorn, create illusion (Thank you Mae West my Teen years were well spent learning about 'The Westian' attitude, I now act like a 86 year old). Why do you think peacocks are so showy?
Pretty people...

Your love sickens me!
I just wanted to write it down 'Your love sickens me'. If you say it in a bellowing British accent it's quite affective. The accent makes everything sound so proper and final. 'Good day Sir, I said GOOD DAY!' I mean how can you rebuttle to that. Imagine a regular surly British butler with a rapier wit...You could never out do. He would only have to gleam at ye, with his good eye, that is and you would cower. Oh Sir, me thinks you are the grandest of all.
eeeeerrrr, Meanwhile back at the ranch...
I like love hearts in all it's girly glory. Damn it! Also I like a little country every now and then but only the good country stuff, like Hank. Hank Williams you are my cowboy hero and of course also John, John Wayne that is...

Mae West's Shoes
She was a genius, I am sure many will argue this fact with me. But I say, bollocks to you! Look at her shoes man! It screams I am short (something i'd wear) but will add illusion. What an artist! Quite frankly, the dude (modellist/cobbler) who made them is a champ. So thankyou to my friends over at the Mae West blogspot and the FIDM museum for the use of the photo. Wish I knew more about these shoes, I am surprised however that they aren't in Brocade....Mae, where are your other pairs?
